Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solutions deliver streamlined communications network architecture for EYDAP in Greece
Paris, France, 22 December 2021 – Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a leading provider of communications, cloud and networking solutions tailored to customers’ industries, was selected by the Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company (EYDAP) to upgrade its network while simplifying the architecture.
Since the telephony system was first deployed in 2001, EYDAP has grown exponentially and faced many new technological demands. By 2020, the company was managing a highly dispersed communications system, consisting of thirty stand-alone subsystems at an equal number of locations. To improve the user and operator experience and to move towards digital transformation, EYDAP was looking for a solution to upgrade its system and simplify the architecture. The global health crisis further highlighted the need for flexible and secure communications to ensure business continuity. According to Effie Nestorides, Executive Director of Digital Governance at EYDAP, this project is part of the company’s long-term vision.
Our strategic goal is the digital transformation of EYDAP. That is why we chose the IP centralisation solution by Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise and its Rainbow platform.
The robust state-of-the-art solution, proposed by Cloud-U Telecoms, an Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Business Partner in Athens, is based on the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX® Enterprise Communication Server and the RainbowTM by Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise platform.
